Rotobrush Coil Cleaning: The Las Vegas Owner’s Guide
If your Rotobrush coil cleaning system is down, the repair is usually faster than you think. We stock Rotobrush-compatible coil cleaning components on our trucks and install them for Las Vegas homeowners and contractors at a typical all-in range of $220 – $410, parts and labor included, with a written price before we touch anything. Most owners discover the problem when cleaning performance drops mid-job: suction fades, the brush head bogs under load, or the coil pack stops throwing the right amount of solution onto the duct walls. In Las Vegas’s dust-heavy environment, coil assemblies take a beating, and the failure is rarely mysterious once you open the housing. Call us at (725) 600-6597 and we’ll match your unit to the right part the same day.
Which Rotobrush Models This Applies To
Rotobrush coil cleaning refers to the rotating scrubbing assembly and chemical feed system inside the brand’s duct-cleaning machines, not a separate standalone tool. The components involved are the drive coil/stator, the rotary brush clutch, the pump relay coil, and the chemical injection hose assembly. These parts appear across most Rotobrush models built in the last 12 years, including the Roto-Vision RV4 and RV3 series, the Bronco portable line, and the older RotoBrush ai models. The single biggest compatibility gotcha, and the one that trips up owners who buy parts online, is the brush-head coupler size: pre-2012 machines used a 5/8″ hex drive, while newer units switched to a 3/4″ quick-connect spindle. Measure before you order, or you’ll end up with a part you can’t bolt on. The second thing to check is the voltage spec stamped on the pump coil itself, either 115V or 230V, which must match the machine’s internal wiring. We carry both OEM Rotobrush parts and high-quality aftermarket equivalents that meet or exceed spec for the mechanical wear items. For electrical coils and relays, we strongly prefer OEM or NOS, because a marginal coil will burn out again in a month. Cardinal Air Duct Las Vegas is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Rotobrush, but we have years of hands-on time with these specific machines and know what survives a Las Vegas summer work schedule.

Signs Your Rotobrush Coil Cleaning System Is Failing
- Brush head loses rotation under load. This usually means the drive coil is weakening or the clutch plate has glazed over. In Las Vegas, heat accelerates both, especially when trucks sit in 115-degree parking lots between jobs.
- Intermittent power cutouts mid-job. A relay coil that is starting to fail will drop out when the machine gets hot. If the unit comes back to life after a cool-down period, that is the classic signature.
- Chemical pump tick rate slows or stops entirely. The coil that pulses the chemical feed pump tends to fail progressively. You’ll first notice less solution on the duct walls, then a total loss of feed.
- Burning smell from the drive housing. Overheated coil windings smell like hot electrical varnish. Stop the machine immediately if you catch this, it can take the control board with it if left running.
- Visible sparking or arcing at the coupler. A worn brush contact can arc against the armature. That is the one to address before the next use, not after, because the arc damage escalates fast.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For Las Vegas service calls, a complete Rotobrush coil cleaning repair lands between $220 and $410 installed. The low end covers a mechanical wear part like a clutch plate or brush-head coupler replacement. The high end covers the full assembly when the drive coil, pump relay, and feed hose need to be replaced together. Nobody in this market should be paying more than $500 for this repair if only one side of the system has failed. What drives the range is whether you need an OEM electrical component versus an aftermarket mechanical one, and how accessible the part is on your specific model year. Every quote includes the part, the labor, a function test under load, and our written repair guarantee. If the repair fails within 365 days, we come back and make it right at no charge, that is our 365-Day Done Right Promise and it applies to every coil cleaning repair we do. Omar Haddad, our owner and lead technician, will hand you a written price before the first tool comes out of the van, so you’ll never get a surprise on the invoice.
DIY or Call Us?
There is a real shock risk inside these machines even when unplugged, because the internal capacitors hold a charge long after the cord is out of the wall. We do not recommend opening the electrical housing unless you have training with motor drives and respect for stored voltage. What you can safely do is external: check the chemical feed line for kinks or clogs, verify the coupler isn’t visibly loose, and confirm the machine is getting power at the outlet. If the brush head spins freely by hand but stalls under power, the problem is almost always the drive coil, and that is not a driveway repair. If the machine will not hold rotation or the pump won’t pulse, call (725) 600-6597. We’ll match the model to the right part and usually have you back on the job the same day.
FAQs
Expect 3 to 5 years of regular commercial use before a drive coil or pump relay needs replacement. Las Vegas heat and dust shorten that window compared to cooler markets, so if your machine lives in a truck parked outside, lean toward the lower end. Call (725) 600-6597 for an exact assessment of your unit.
Mechanical parts like clutch plates and couplers can sometimes be cleaned and resurfaced, but electrical coils are sealed units and are not repairable in any lasting way. If the coil windings are burnt, replacement is the only fix that will hold. We’ll tell you if a repair is even worth attempting before we start billing time.
Most Rotobrush coil replacements take 45 to 90 minutes on site. We stock the common parts on our trucks, so if you are in Las Vegas proper, we can often do the job on the first visit without ordering anything. Call (725) 600-6597 and we’ll let you know what we have on hand for your model.
Yes. We carry drive coils, pump relays, clutch assemblies, and 5/8″ and 3/4″ brush-head couplers for the most common Rotobrush series. We also keep some Lennox, Trane, and Carrier components for HVAC system work, but our Rotobrush inventory is the deepest. Call (725) 600-6597 with your model number and we’ll confirm stock before you commit.
